Treasure Hunt Update
First an update on the treasure hunt!…it was a blast. Grandpa and I dressed as pirates, he even made us wooden swords! We put bandanas on our heads and I used an eyebrow pencil to give us big hooked eyebrows and a mustache on grandma. Big black eyes completed the look. When we arrived, Andy was a little frightened of these pirates…so grandma took her trusty eyebrow pencil and gave both boys eyebrows, mustaches and beards. That took the scary away. We sailed on our ship looking for the island where the treasure was buried. We fought off wild sea monsters (pet dogs). I learned to swab the deck and stoke the fire! Finally we landed on the island(sandbox). The Captain (Isaac) told us where to dig so we began. The captain had buried the treasure so we were sure he would find it…. and he did, a little jar filled with colorful gumballs! The captain was ready to set sail after finding his treasure. (grandma had a bag full of chocolate wrapped in colorful tin foil that she kept dropping in the sand when no one was looking) We wanted to keep looking for more treasure even though the captain was done. When the 1st mate (Andy) found some candy the captains eyes almost popped out. Then the real digging began! What a hoot! We dug and dug until all was found. Then we set sail for the home base ship. When we arrived the “wench” was in the galley preparing our lunch. We sat down and divded our booty. The wench (boys mommy) was not very happy that her sweet children had learned words ike wench and booty…LOL. Our lunch was wonderful! We got back home around 3 and had a long nap! It was the Grandest of days!

Yep, I knew you would have a great time. What wonderful grandparents you are. I enjoyed your adventure. Have a great day and a wonderful Easter weekend.
What a wonderful memory for both the grandkids and the grandparents! Yes, I have said many times, if I would have known how wonderful grandchildren were I would have had them first! I am so thankful today that God has blessed me and made me a grandparent too! Happy Easter weekend.
Thanks for the follow-through update re: Treasure Hunt. Sounds like a grand time was had by everyone ;–)
