Breaking News….Spring is just around the corner
Good Day Everyone! The weather is finally breaking here and I am so excited. It is supposed to be in the 60’s today….wooohoooo! I can almost hear the flowers growing. I absolutely love to garden. I am anxious for the ground to dry out enough to start raking winter away. I planted another 100 bulbs last fall and I can’t wait to see them in all their glory. I am thankful today for the promise of spring. The renewing of the ground. I love to see the grass awaken from it’s long sleep. I love having the windows open and listening to the birds sing while I do my housework. I have been trying to get my spring cleaning done so I can spend my days in the gardens. We are planning a huge vegetable garden with our neighbors, a summer project to work on together, with plenty to can for winter. Here is a picture from last year….

This was taken from our deck looking into the front yard. Hope you enjoy it!
p.s. OK this is it…I put the snow shovel away!

Those are very pretty. What are they called? I want a garden but I’ve never been very good at keeping plants and flowers alive. I was hoping to start one this year but we haven’t built our porch yet so I can’t plant anything until I know where the porch is going to be! Have a great day!
~Hi Kat, I hope you got my email. The flowers in the forground are purple cone flowers. They are very easy to grow and they come back year after year. You have a great day too…………………Mo
I too am looking forward to spring and all the blooming trees and flowers. Lovely photo of the butterfly and flowers. Just like yesterday I will be hard pressed to stay inside. Peace
~Thanks Dianne, I am washing windows outside today, it is still too wet to rake the gardens. Have a warm and sunny day!….Mo
Oh, to have it 60 here, but I am happy for 50. Good luck with your spring cleaning. I need to get started. Go outside and enjoy the sun and warmth.
Love and Hugs,
Joyce
~Hi Joyce…I decided to wash windows outside so I can do both! I am so ready for spring and our winter was not as bad as yours! Love and Hugs back at you sweet girl!…..Mo
Ah … lovely! I hope your yard looks like this again soon ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
~It is so lovely here when everything is in bloom, I can hardly wait! Hugs!…..Mo
I too am very much ready for spring. Between the snow over the weekend and my car breaking down yesterday, I need the sunshine to remind me all will be well again. Today I am very thankful for my insurance company, Geico. I switched to them shortly after I moved back from Indiana and have never had a claim, so I was a little apprehensive when I called them. But to my surprise, they have the absolute best customer service staff who could not have been more helpful. They got my car towed and even did all the “paperwork” over the phone and lined up a rental for me - a new (less than 10,000 miles) PT Cruiser! They definitely made an aggravating situation a little more enjoyable!
Beautiful picture - I miss your gardens!
~Wow! Sorry to her about your misfortune. Should I send this to Geico?…you could do a commercial. (LOL) and a PT Cruiser now you are styling! Enjoy that ride!…..and a hug to make it better……..Mo
Beautiful!!! I see the butterfly….wow, awesome!! Heck, it’s going to be SUMMER here this weekend. It’s predicted to get close to 90°F!!! today. I hope this is not a sign for some real hot days in July. LOL
~Thanks Anni. I heard the temps were going to be 90 to 100 degrees down there. All I can say is have all your friends and neighbors turn their fans to the north and send some up here! I am so ready…..Mo
Oh how beautiful! I have been loving our weather for the past couple weeks. I think I got too used to it though because it snowed a little last night and kind of depressed me!
~Hi Brittany, I know just how you feel. We are back to rain and cool temps this week. Thanks for the visit!….Mo

Even though we don’t get the snow and dreary weather that my northern friends so, I love getting my hands dirty in the spring. Weeding around the hydrangea and the bougainvilllea…I know it’s spring when my hands are dirty again!
