Theres Still No Place Like…
Today I am Grateful just to be home. I know I have been saying it for a couple days now, but I just mean it soooo much. I loved our vacation and all the interesting things we were able to see and do. I loved visiting with family, sharing meals and gabbing. I loved getting to know an Aunt and Uncle much better. I loved seeing Sweeties Kids and the grandchildren. But….”she clicks her heels together three times, repeating..Theres no place like home, Theres no place like home, Theres no place like home” You know…, there really isn’t!

I actually got to cook dinner last night. Now that may not seem like much to some, but to me…I love my kitchen! I love to cook and make most everything from scratch. I had Grandma Duty yesterday, as daughter had a physical therapy appointment. Both boys are sick, fever and cough. They mostly sat on the sofa covered up with quilts, coloring, watching Ice Age (the movie) and eating shaved lemon ice. I made a meatloaf for dinner and daughter and her hubby joined us. It was very nice. Did I mention, I am Thankful to be home?
Today I get to do the laundry………and yeah I am even Thankful for that. It is not that I love doing laundry (I am not that crazy) I just like having my routine. Routines are good, at least for me. It is how I justify my fun. How, you ask? Simple,….. When I finish everything on my list I am allowed to do what I want. Crochet, quilt, blog, sew, paint….just whatever I want with NO guilt! Life is Grand!
We have added quite a few “NEW” Grateful Gals to the blogroll (top of sidebar) Be sure to go by and Welcome them, I am spending some time checking out their Blogs…..You are some totally awesome gals!

I agree, it’s good to go on vacation, but it is so wonderful to come home to the nest. I’m with you 100% on this. Have a great day.
~Hi Sandee, Thats me a nester. LOL. I just love being home!……..MO
Home is where the heart is. It’s always nice to be home even when we take care of mundane tasks. I’m glad you’re enjoying your leisure time. Today I’m so far behind I will never get caught up, but that is fine too. All the work will be there tomorrow and I’m not feeling guilty for taking these few minutes for myself. It’s been a hectic week. Michelle’s surgery was one week ago today.
Thanks for your comments on my post today. I always enjoy visiting with you. Relax and enjoy your leisure time.
Blessings,
Mary
~I feel for you! I am sure it has been a trying week for you. Michelle is on the road to recovery

I completely understand everything you’re saying…even down to the “do the chores first then no guilt”! Perfect. With this said, I’m gonna go do my work and then treat myself to my newest book. Glad you’re home too!
~I am all about the NO guilt thing! LOL. Whats your newest book?….MO
Hello Friend, I agree Home is grand. I could use 80 degree weather and sun and more sun. May will be here in 2 months. I can hang in there. I pray your grand sons feel better real soon. I also pray for your daughter. Take care and cook away.
Love and Hugs,
Joyce
~I got really spoiled with warm weather on our vacation. I am going to try to hang in there too! Thanks for your prayers!…MO
Yes, there is no place like home. Even just after a day at work. I am so thankful the roads were not any worse than they were coming home tonight.
~It looked like you were getting lots of snow…Glad you are safe!…MO
I just love this one as it soundsl like how I feel. I am a rountine girl at heart. I am grateful to have found this blog site.

Ah, yes. Having been away for two whole weeks now, with the prospect of two more ahead, I can say I wholeheartedly agree with you that there is no place like home. Round two of laundry in coin op machines and dryers on steroids may require a new summer wardrobe this year! And I am so with you on the kitchen; I love all my gadgets and gizmos for making cooking easier. This room has exactly 27 utensils, including eating utensils! I enjoy the challenge of figuring out what I can accomplish with so little, but I am ready to be home! Thanks for visiting Miller Manor TT. I am slow getting to everyone, but I am working on it!

~It is so hard being away for so long. You have a great attitude about it though,”what can I accomplish with so little”….Mo
