Hold-ups and Hold-ons
Hello Ladies! I am on my way to being ready. I keep checking things off my list below. We keep running into things that are pushing our “leave” date further out. They are now calling for 3-6 inches of snow by Friday morning and the route we had planned on is supposed to get 6-12. UGH! Sweetie now has another meeting for Friday morning so it is looking like we won’t be able to leave until Saturday. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
We have also been having some issues with the health of our daughter. Many of you know, she has been having problems for almost a year. The doctors have found a rare condition called ACM (chiari). They have also recently found she has osteoarthritis…at 34. She has recently started therapy for 5 herniated discs in her neck…which no one is really sure how that happened. They have scheduled a biopsy for next week on her thyroid gland. We have offered to stay home and be with her, but she insists she is 34 years old, a wife, and mother and she can handle it. “Besides mom, they won’t have the results for a least a week.” She is struggleing. Please add her to your prayer list.
Now for my Gratitude…I am very Thankful today that the horrible weather all around us last night had no damageing effect on us or our family. Eight miles away the roof of the county court house was ripped off, as well as major damage to 4 commercial buildings. Over 4,000 without power with temperatures in the single digits. Yes I am very thankful, we did not loose power and no trees down…it is a miracle!…………I can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds…wink, wink!

Your daughter is in my prayers. We too had a big storm at the first part of the month and I was grateful for the same things you are. Very well done. Have a great day.
Today I am grateful for all of the wonderful women in my life!
I just wanted to let you know that I added all of the Grateful Gals’ blogs to my RSS feed, so I can read and repsond to posts in a more efficient manner. Only thing is Hootin’ Annie’s blog does not offer that option.
I am praying both for your dear daughter and your trip.
Many hugs,
Phyl
Oh dear…your trip is delayed and your daughter is ill. But, God love ya honey! You came up with something positive - rock on! Now, you keep look’n up, ’cause there ain’t no other way *hugs*
Yes, I’m working with Nap Warden on a new page design, new avatar and my name will become my book title - Foster Me Up. Thx for stopping by *smooches and hugs*
Praise the Lord for your safety. I know where you live and with all those trees around, well I know it can get a bit scary there. I have been praying for Mindy . . . and you and the rest of the family. I ask the Lord to hold you all very close.
I too am thankful the storm wasn’t any worse than it was last night. And we are expecting a winter blast tomorrow also. I am going to click my red slippers three times and say, “Winter is almost over. Winter is almost over. Winter is almost over.” Blessings, Cricket
Hi Maureen,
It seems bad weather has been going on all over the country. We had lots of rain yesterday and really high winds last night. No damage, and I am thankful for that. I am glad you all are okay and that you didn’t have any damage.
I am so sorry about your daughter, and I will keep her in my prayers.
