A “New” Look at American Idol
Well as you all must know by now…American Idol started last night. I cannot tell you when I have had so much fun all by myself…well sort of by myself. I mentioned yesterday that the Ladies of the Cotillion would be live blogging the show at The Median Sib. I headed over there just before 8 pm eastern time. What an absolute HOOT! They did an amazing job, complete with mini clips, little pop up graphics, the hook coming out on the stage, the thumbs up and thumbs down, along with a whole host of others. The audio files they played kept me rolling on the floor, Gomer Pyle saying “Gollyeeee”, The gong from the “gong show”, the big Snore, and the “car wreck”. I am telling you they kept me in stitches! I plan to go back tonight…it was that much fun! I was laughing so hard my cat hid. I think she thought I had lost my mind. So if you plan to watch tonight head over and check out this Live Blogging Event. With Sweetie gone it sure made my evening. Thanks Ladies!

Hi Maureen,
I like your new look. It’s beautiful.
I think the American Idol try outs is more entertaining than the actual competition for the winner of the title.
Hey Betty, Glad to “see” you out and about! I was just trying to tweak a few things for my “new” look when you happened by. I am not going to put it up just yet. I have lots to do on the sidebar for it ….so you got a sneak peek!(((((Hugs)))))))
That truly DOES sound like a hoot! Hey? Have I heard that expression some where? rofl
Actually, hubby and I were just talking the other day that American Idol is a modern version of “The Gong Show”……..why even Gene Gene the Dancing machine would be in all his glory on FOX 2008!!! [gollllllll-e-e-e-e, I think Gene from the Gong show has passed on now that I type about him]
To be honest, you DID have me smiling just reading your blog this morning. I bet it was an evening of pure gut splitting laughter.
Have a great day…enjoy the evening with Simon and Paula and Cotillion!!! rolf
I can’t find your TT-13 - but I do always love your site! I haven’t seen American Idol yet (think my TiVo got it). It is entertaining…
Happy TT-13!
Smiles,
Holly

This year’s premiere was far and away the best in the last few years. Though someone really needs to explain the reaction of the screaming little blonde from Tuesday night. She was INSANE.
Thanks for visiting my blog. You are welcome any time.
