Just everyday Life today
Good Day all! It’s FRIDAY….WoooHooo! Sweetie surprised me yesterday with a trip to Madison Indiana for lunch! It was lovely. I really enjoy that town along the Ohio river. It is quite beautiful and just darling all dressed up for the holiday past.
We are to start getting a break in the weather here today and I am so Thankful for that! It has been down right chilly here. Down to 4 degrees overnight. I feel like I have to feed more to all my little wild critters so they will be able to stay warm. I figure a bird has to eat 2-3 times its body weight to stay warm, so what does a cat have to eat.??? Warm soup! LOL. That’s right, warm soup with cat food, Am I crazy or what!
I have been doing a lot of crocheting lately. I have gotten involed with an awesome project Share a Square. You really must read about it. Just click on the link and leave a comment for Shelly letting her know what an awesome thing this is! I am so Thankful to be a part of it.

Thanks for visiting me today and leaving a comment. Makes my day.
We are supposed to be getting a break in our weather today, too. It only got to about 30 degrees yesterday, and today it is already 40 degrees. I welcome that for sure.
I am just beginning to learn to crochet. I take yoga classes twice a week, and a lady in my class is trying to teach me. The main reason I want to learn to crochet is I want to be able to make those hanging kitchen towels. They are so handy. My aunt used to make them and give some to me, but since she passed away I don’t have a source to obtain them. The ones I have are getting worn. They also make nice gifts. I’ll visit the Share a Square site you have posted.
Hello, Madison is so beautiful. We have friends who live new Rising Sun and stay in Madison when we do. With friends I have stayed at Clefty Falls. It is grand there. I am glad that it is warming up here to with it at 30 degrees now. Have a great day.
Love and Hugs,
Thanks Betty…for visiting Share a Square. I love to crochet, I have been doing it since I was about 12. It keeps my hands busy while watching tv or listening to radio. It is very relaxing and I think you would enjoy it. I have never made those towels but I have seen them and I think they look pretty easy. Try finding a pattern online. It will be a snap!
Hi Joyce, We must have been leaving a comment at the same time…LOL! Clifty Falls is breath taking. You know what I mean about Madison being so beautiful! I have only been through Rising Sun once, but they look like adorable little shops there. I have always said I wanted to go back to look around a bit. We are at 37 this afternoon. Bout time!
I checked out the Share a Square site. What a wonderful project! As you know, I do not knit or crochet - all thumbs - but I do want to help so I plan to donate some money to help with their postage issue. Thanks for the info. I too am looking forward to the warm up this weekend. I really dislike the deep-freeze we have had the past several days. I hope to get my outside Christmas decorations down and put away for another year this weekend.
Dad got to come home yesterday. He is still not doing very well and I am not very pleased they sent him home - even he thought he should stay!
Hi Cricket! I am sure the donation to Share a square would be a big help. Good luck with those Christmas decorations (supposed to rain here). Hope your Dad starts to feel better soon. You may have to take him to Wooster.
I am thankful for the warm up in the temperatures. Although, it would be nice to be able to enjoy it instead of so much work. Oh well, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I am thankful Stephen is able to be home for a nice long visit and being able to spend lots of time with his old friends. I really am thankful he is able to spend so much time with his friends for 2 reasons. One, I know he hasn’t made many friends in Minnesota and is terribly lonesome for his friends. Two, honestly, we love having him around, but we are working lots of hours and need to have some down time, where he is antsy and wants to be on the go or doing something constantly. All the boys are doing great, everyone is working hard and playing hard.
I wanna go to Madison! Good for you both for the fun little getaway!
Cricket - what is going on with your dad? I will keep him in my prayers.
