Journey of Gratitude
Well here it is…the last day of 2007.It has been a wonderful year for Sweetie and me. We have our share of problems like everyone else but they just don’t seem so bad anymore. I started the “Journey of Gratitude” this past year and it has made all the difference. Every day we think of things to be Thankful for. When problems arise we are able to look for a lesson to be Thankful for. I hope you will consider making Gratitude part of your everyday life in 2008. You are welcome to list what you are Thankful for everyday here at the Gratitude Journal. Just add it in comments…it does not have to relate to what I am Thankful for. Try it for a month and see if it doesn’t make a huge difference in your life! We have also resigned ourselves to giving. Time and money…what a blessing this has turned out to be! Our income has more than doubled…go figure! We look for creative ways to give more. It has turned into a fun thing for us to do. We pray for God’s leading and ask Him to send a need our way. We were just talking about increasing the amount we give. It is such a blessing to sit together and discuss how to give more away instead of being consumed with the “I wants” or the “I needs” We have discovered we need very little, and have most of what we want. I encourage you to try this. Set an amount…10 % or 1% or whatever you are comfortable with. Give it every week for a month, I think you will see a huge difference in your own life. Just a couple suggestions as you look for a great way to start your 2008. Have a great New Year and remember to be responsible.

This has been a most unusual year for me. As I look to 2008 arriving in a few hours, I am ever mindful that I almost lost the opportunity to enjoy the hope and opportunities a New Year brings. I just thank God for His wisdom and His grace. As others are also doing this evening, I am pondering my resolutions for the New Year. I am most thankful I was able to quit smoking this past year (has been 4 months I believe). I am continuing to slowly take the weight off. I think the area in my life that needs the most change or help is not having a church. I am going to put finding a church home at the top of my New Year’s resolutions. I hope you all have a joyous and peaceful New Year.
Hello, I agree with you on giving. It seems like we can not out give God. We give, God gives us more baby pigs per litter, or a better price when we selll our feeder pigs, or our crops will do outsatanding. This has been a year that I could not have imagined a year ago. So many good things have happened. I am jumping up and down in wonder on what God has in store for 2008. Talk to you next year.
Love and Hugs,
Joyce
Thanks so much ladies….God is awesome. Sweetie and I have just been talking about the laws of God. The science guys and math guys have nothing on our God. Whatever you sow you will surely reap. I will talk to you all next year….LOL
Hi,
This is my first visit to your blog, and I love the concept of it. If you don’t mind, I added you to my list of bloggers as I intend to visit often. I hope you will visit me when you have the time and leave a comment to let me know you were there.
I am thankful that I am in fairly good health. The most serious problem has been some heart problems which are being treated.
I’m thankful for my DH and my extended family through him. I am thankful for so many things. I’ll same some for later.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
