Back to Normal
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We certainly did. A special “Thank You” to all who sent cards and email wishing us the best. What a joyous time of year. We are now back to everyday living. The house is cleaned and the party is put away…I will deal with the decorations later! The grandchildren were not too spoiled and they were very happy. We will be keeping them all weekend while their parents take a gifted holiday. It will be like Grand Central here. They are a lot to keep up with, but such a joy! We are looking forward to it…and so are they. They received a couple new movies for Christmas, and we are excited to watch them. LOL. I am Thankful today for the family part of our holiday. We have family that are quite a distance away but we are able to share some time over the phone. I am Thankful for those who were able to be here. What a blessing! Little Isaac found the pickle on the tree and won the honor of putting the baby Jesus in the manger…he was so excited! He ran through the house to tell everyone that Jesus was born. How sweet! Little Andy (2yr) was so excited to see his “paw” he said,” Paw, I have been so worried about you!”….he was afraid his paw was going back to Ohio. LOL. Have a great day everone!

Sounds like you had a good Christmas day and are enjoying grandchildren today. Like you I like the family part of Christmas. Have fun with those grandchildren.
Love and Hug,
It sound like i should have been there ,…..
Hey Monti!!!! You should have been here. So good of you to stop by. Hope your Christmas was awesome! Hugs!
Ahhh yes, back to normal, or at least as normal as it gets around here. Hi Monti, how have you been? I hope your Christmas was joyful.
It was so much fun watching the grandchildren here Christmas evening. My youngest was a little concerned to find he had half as many presents as his brother and sister. Of course he was happy when he learned the age old lesson of economics. . .the more a present cost the less presents you receive. Thus Grandma provided the “bestest gift I only wanted!!”
I will never get tired of seeing the excitement and happiness that a child displays when they receive the gift they really wanted. I was thinking about Caleb’s response when I went to bed and I couldn’t help but relate his obvious happiness to a time when my own happiness in receiving a gift was so pronounced I could hardly contain myself. That gift was receiving salvation and I accepted it at my Grandmother’s funeral. I remember so well how it felt like a tremendous weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was all I could do not to stand up and share my excitement. Maybe I should have.
